Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms of service apply to the use of the mobile app Sidequest, offered by Jonas Lang (hereinafter "we" or "Provider"). By using the app, you agree to these terms.

2. Description of Services

Sidequest is an app that provides daily challenges and allows users to document them by uploading media content (e.g., photos).

3. Registration and Account

• Use requires a user account (email address + password or Apple Sign-In).
• You are responsible for the security of your access credentials.
• Only one account per person is allowed.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

4. User Obligations and Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload content that:

• is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or pornographic,
• violates third-party rights (in particular copyrights or personal rights),
• depicts minors in an inappropriate manner,
• contains malware or harmful code.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules. We are not obligated to actively monitor all uploaded content.

5. Intellectual Property

The photos you upload remain your property. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process your photos to operate the app (storage, transmission, display).

The app design, code, and all other content of the app are the property of the Provider and may not be copied or reused without permission.

6. Availability

We strive for the highest possible availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance work will be announced whenever possible.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Provider is liable within the scope of statutory provisions. The Provider is not liable for injuries or other damages arising in connection with the execution of a Sidequest, provided these are based on the independent behavior of the user and there is no intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the Provider.

Participation in Sidequests is voluntary and at your own risk. Users are obligated to consider their own abilities and the respective local conditions and to refrain from executing Sidequests if this could create a risk for themselves or others. Traffic rules, laws, and instructions from authorities or property owners must be observed at all times.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time via the settings in the app. We can suspend or delete accounts without notice for violations of these terms.

9. Changes

We reserve the right to change these terms of service. You will be informed of material changes in the app. Continued use after notification is deemed as acceptance.

10. Misuse

Automated access, reverse engineering, manipulation of the app, or circumvention of technical protection measures is prohibited.

11. Applicable Law

Austrian law applies. The place of jurisdiction for disputes with businesses is the registered office of the Provider.
